Shipping Policy
All items are custom made at the time of order. Please see the announcement at the top of the website for up to date production times; production time starts the day after the date of purchase for your order and does not include shipping time to you. Production time does not include weekends or holidays. Once your item(s) has left my hands, shipping time is in the hands of the shipping provider. As much as I would love to be able to control the weather and any other shipping delay that could happen, I unfortunately cannot. PLEASE be understanding of this!
Domestic Shipping:
ALL packages are shipped via trackable USPS Mail or UPS (unless previously agreed upon between the buyer (you) and the seller (me) prior to the sale of the item). You will receive an e-mail notification along with a tracking number once your order has shipped.
Shipping insurance can be purchased at the time your order is placed. Insurance can be added to your package at the time of checkout by adding the Route Protect insurance. Route Protect protects packages that are lost, damaged or stolen; orders without Route Protect do not have any coverage and will not be refunded or remade.
International Shipping:
(INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS - IMPORTANT PLEASE READ)
All international packages ship by USPS International First Class Mail or via UPS. Orders can sometimes take up to 8+ weeks to be delivered to you. If you would like a faster method please contact us before you make your purchase.
If your package is shipped via First Class Mail, it does not include tracking or insurance.
International customers are responsible for all duties and customs charges.
Package Return:
Should a package be returned to me as undeliverable, a reshipment fee will apply before the package is reshipped to the correct address. Reshipment fees depend on package size, weight and shipping destination.

Package does not show as “delivered”:
If a package is still in transit with the USPS or UPS, please sign up for delivery notifications with the shipping provider. The USPS has determined that packages that have not arrived within 15-21 days (shipping to the US) are lost. At that time, a claim can be made with the USPS. UPS has determined that packages that have not arrived 24 hours after the delivery window has come and gone to be considered lost.

Package shows as “delivered” but is not at your home:
Sometimes the USPS scans a package as delivered a day or two early. Here are some helpful tips when looking for your package:
Four Black Paws CANNOT replace items that have been marked as “delivered” by the USPS tracking system. You must notify us via email about packages marked as delivered by not received within 3 days of your order being marked as “delivered” for additional assistance.
Damage:
If the package has been shipped UPS or FedEx, please note damage when signing for the shipment. If damage was concealed, buyer has 5 business days to report the damage to us so a claim can be made. If the package was shipped via US Mail, please notify us within 5 business days of the damage so a claim can be started. Please do not discard any packaging or the damaged item if an item is damaged, as this will be needed to process a claim. If we have shipped the incorrect item, please contact us for additional information on the return and exchange.
Four Black Paws is not, under any circumstances, responsible for damaged, lost or stolen packages. We purchase shipping labels through a third party provider (USPS, UPS, etc) and once a package is scanned into the mail carrier’s system, it becomes the property of said provider and we cannot be held liable for damaged, mis-delivered, lost or stolen packages.
